What a beautiful example of the early swing or day dress as it evolved form the more tubular flapper to a more fitted silhouette. Made of a bias cut, silky rayon that is that perfect early rayon fabric that feels so good and hold color and cut perfectly. The cut is fantastic with the sleeves cut to puff above a prettily tied wrist gather. The bodice is loose and easy and the front cut in a V and accented by a bow at its base. The dress looks like a two piece but is truly a dress with a printed top and black, bias cut silk rayon skirt. The skirt is cut and pieced in panels, all bias cut and this gives the dress a real hour glass shape as it drapes over your curves. A pretty floral print covers the surface of the upper bodice for a wonderful contrast and surprisingly modern feel. Present as excellent condition but please read condition notes below.
Unlined and slip over the head with no closures. Each cuff ties and there is an attached decorative tie at the neck as shown. Note that there is a slight smudging/running of color of the print under each arm from heat there. It is otherwise in sound, fine condition. Please super-size to see the photo provided. Priced accordingly and when on this is not seen.
